High efficiency with water as the only emission

PowerCell has developed fuel cell technology for more than a decade, and has perfected a unique design that enables the production of a lightweight, versatile and reliable power source for automotive, transport and stationary applications.

PowerCell’s fuel cell stacks are designed to work on reformate gas as well as pure hydrogen. Metal bipolar plates and state of the art MEA give a robust, low cost and high performance design. Many features are patented. The Fuel Cells are based on PEM technology (Polymere electrolyte membrane). This is the most commonly used technology today, owing to its reliable and dynamic characteristics that allows for full power output within seconds. Another feature is the capability for extensive starts and stops.

PowerCell S1 (1-5 kW)

PowerCell S1 is developed to run either with reformate or using pure hydrogen. It is used in applications such as telecom back-up, small generators and stationary power-generation from hydrogen and natural gas as well as biogas.

PowerCell S2 (5-25 kW)

PowerCell has used its heritage from the automotive industry to launch a fuel cell stack that will meet both stationary and mobile requirements in it´s power range. PowerCell S2 fuel cell stack is designed for efficient power generation in the range of 5 to 25kW with State-of-the-art PEM technology for superior performance in many applications. PowerCell S2 is optimized to run on reformate gas but performs equally well on pure hydrogen. PowerCell’s S2 stack is tested as REX, Range Extender, powered by hydrogen in the automotive environment.

PowerCell S3 (20-100 kW) Prototype

PowerCell S3, a 20-100 kW fuel cell stack with Best-in-Class density is primarily designed for automotive application and based on industrial components that are suitable for volume production. Discussions are currently on going with a number of car manufactures regarding the next phase.
